Title: E-nstructions: A Tool for Electronic Instructions in Laboratory Experiments Description: E-nstructions facilitates the use of electronic instructions in computerized laboratory experiments in social sciences. This tool has been primarily designed to be used in combination with z-Tree (Fischbacher, 2007), but it should work in combination with other experimental softwares which help developing and conducting experiments. E-nstructions consists of two small programs. First, a settings program allows the experimenter to easily configure how to assign instructions to participants and how participants can navigate through the instructions. Second, the E-nstructions program enables participants to toggle between their instructions and the client application of the experimental software (e.g. z-Leaf) according to the configured settings. E-nstructions displays experimental instructions in PdF format. Title: z-Tree Description: z-Tree is a software for developing and conducting economic experiments. External Link: http://www.iew.uzh.ch/ztree Category: Experimental Software Contact: Urs Fischbacher; Email: urs.fischbacher@uni-konstanz.de Posted Date: 2011-04-05; Last Modified Date: 2011-04-05 |
Title: SoPHIE - Software Platform for Human Interaction Experiments Description: SoPHIE is a web-based software to conduct experiments in the lab as well as over the internet. Researchers can build simple experiments from ready-made components but also build individual solutions and extend the software using the wide-spread programming langages PHP and JavaScript when required. Title: t-Tree: Tokyo Toolbox for Readymade Economic Experiments Description: t-Tree (Kazumori (2005)) is a software developed for experimental studies of auctions of heterogeneous objects such as Vickrey auctions, simultaneous ascending auctions, ascending proxy auctions, and clock-proxy auctions. The software implements combinatorial auction algorithms to allow experiments in realistic situations that involve a large number of objects and bidders. The software is entirely web-based and does not require any installation and programming experiences. The contribution of the software is to complement z-Tree by providing the auction software for the economics research community as public goods.
